The examination form distribution for the Test Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) language, for aspirant Nepali workers for Korean jobs under the Employment Permit System (EPS), has begun from Wednesday. The aspiring candidates for Korean jobs should submit their forms on April 27-30. The TOPIK language, for aspirant Nepali workers for Korean jobs under the Employment Permit System (EPS), has been scheduled for June 18 and 19. The candidates who pass the Korean exam will be vying for jobs in manufacturing and agricultural sectors for the year 2017. The TOPIK exam will be conducted in Kathmandu and Pokhara. According to EPS Section Director Dilli Ram Bastola, the forms can be submitted at five different places in the Kathmandu Valley and five other centers outside the valley -- Butwal, Pokhara, Dharan, Janakpur and Dadeldhura. The candidates who pass TOPIK will be registered in the roaster of workers for South Korea and later will be shortlisted according to employer's demand. The Korean government had opened 7,100 worker positions for agriculture and manufacturing sectors for 2016.

Police of Nepal and Greece recently rescued a Nepali man from clutches of abductors led by a Nepali woman in Athens of Greece.

Nepal Police said the 24-year-old Nepali national Krishna Gurung was recently abducted by the gang of seven including two Nepalis, three Bangladeshis, an Indian and a Pakistani.

A permanent resident of Oringa, Chainpur Municipality-1 of Sankhuwasabha district, Gurung was rescued by the Crime Against Life and Property Investigation Sub-Division of Greek Police on April 13 after getting information from the Nepal Police Central Investigation Bureau via the Interpol.

His hands and legs were tied while there were wounds on head and other body parts at the time he was rescued from Kypseli area of the Greek Capital, according to police.


Nepal Police in the statement today said Gurung had informed his brother Chandra Prasad that he was abducted, on March 30.

Then, the CIB here had immediately relayed the information to Greek Police via the Interpol.

Besides tipping-off the Greek security agency about the incident, the CIB also collected information about the victim in a close connection with the family members and forwarded it to Athens.

Nepali film Junge has organized a grand premiere at Jai Nepal cinema yesterday where celebrities were present in the show and watched the film throughout the film. Junge is directed by Utkal Thapa which is based on the real life incident of Junga Bahadur Rana. Film also features Najir Hussain, Suraj Singh Thakuri, Reecha Sharma in lead role. Film is shot at Terai region of Nepal. Film has hard core action sequence whereas Suraj Singh Thakuri is presented in a new look which is a big excitement for audience. Chaudhary Group (CG) Holdings has announced developing four hotels in the next five years, with formal acquisition of Tigerland Safari Resort and Lodge in Chitwan on Wednesday. The 35-cottage Tigerland resort spread over eight bigas is located on the edge of the Chitwan National Park. “This acquisition is the beginning of our investment in the hospitality sector,” said Arun Chaudhary, chairman and managing director of CG Holdings. “Nepal has huge possibilities in the tourism sector. So we see a good future in the years to come.” CG Holdings plans to invest Rs5 billion in four proposed hotel infrastructure, excluding land, over the next five years. According to Chaudhary, a 200-room five-star “Holiday Inn” property will be built in Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur, and will be completed by 2020. The company had signed a management contract with InterContinental Hotels Group, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, in March to manage the hotel under the “Holiday Inn” brand.The company also plans to construct another 80-room luxury five-star hotel in Sarangkot, Pokhara. The other proposed projects are 125-room business hotel at Tripureshwor and a “Wellness Retreat” with 50 cottages at Budhanilkantha in Kathmandu. CG Holdings is a wing of diversified conglomerate Chaudhary Group. Under the group, CG Hotels and Resorts recently brought into operation Meghauli Serai Jungle Lodge in Chitwan which managed by India’s most celebrated luxury hotel chain—Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces.

The mortal body of journalist Barbara Adams, who passed away Saturday, is to be placed at the Nepal Academy premises from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday for last tributes. Her last rights will be performed at the Pashupati Aryaghat as per her wish the same day, the Barbara Peace Foundation said. Barabara had first time arrived here in 1960 as a journalist to cover the royal visit paid by British Queen Elizabeth II. Since then, she had been staying here.She has an incredible contribution in starting professional tourism in Nepal and promoting it. She was a freelance journalist. She acquired the Nepali citizenship in 2065 BS. He is very greedy and treats others in a very bad way. There is a poor low caste guy in his calls and he treats him very badly. Despite being poor he has very good norms which makes him a good man. The guy treats him very badly and one day on his girlfriend’s birthday he gets invited. He goes home early because he is treated badly but others enjoy and get drunk. The rich guy and his girlfriend pay the bill and go home but on the way they meet him and the guy thinks that it is very unlucky to see him. Just a few minute later they get into an accident and are in the verse of dy#ng. But the same low caste guy sees them and takes them to hospital. In the hospital the doctor tells him that the guy is in need to blood and kidney. So, he talks to the doctor and manages to give his own kidney to him. But after the guy recovers instead of thanking him he again starts to say bad things about the guy and the doctor hears it. The doctor gets very angry, so he sl@ps him and tells him the truth which makes him feel very bad about himself.

The data can be uploaded through the medium of smartphone. Let us say that the company has tried to make the cycle as smart as possible. The cycle has already been started to be sold in some parts of China ranging from 800 to 6 thousand dollars. The company has revealed that the price will range depending upon the materials used while inventing the cycle.

हाउस अफ फरेन अफेयर्स समितिका एसिया र प्रशान्त मामलको उप समितिका तर्फबाट अफगानिस्तान र पाकिस्तानको मुद्दा आयोजित कांग्रेसमा सुनवाईका क्रममा स्याल्मनसँगै अन्य सांसदले सहमति जनाएका थिए ।

जबकि अफगानिस्तान र पाकिस्तानका विशेष अमेरिकी प्रतिनिधि रिचर्ड ओल्सनले ओबामा प्रशासनको प्रतिनिधित्व गर्दै सरकारी निर्णयको प्रतिरक्षा गरेका थिए ।

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has termed major appointments made by the Ministry of Health at Nepal Health Research Council in recent time as illegal, claiming that the appointments were made through minister-level decisions bypassing the cabinet. A press statement issued by the CIAA on Wednesday stated that the CIAA found appointment of some office bearers at the health research body were made through minister-level decision though it should have been done by the cabinet.The statement reads that the appointment of Dr Krishna Prasad Adhikari as chairman of the council, Dr Budha Basnet as vice-chairman and Dr Sarita Pandey, Dr Pradeep Gyawali, Dr Hem Bahadur Limbu, Dr Sarita Shrestha and Dr Sanjeev Kumar Sharma as members, and Dr Khem Bahadur Karki as member secretary of the council were made by the then health minister despite the legal provision that the appointment of office bearers at government bodies like council must be done by the cabinet. Thousand of litres of illicit liquor have been seized and destroyed in the Nepali capital in the past three years, police records show. However, despite attempts by police to discourage production and consumption of hooch, the business of home-made liquor has been flourishing in the Kathmandu Valley, Xinhua reported citing local media. The context of alcohol use is diverse and differs widely by gender. Access to the alcohol market is more available to men than women. While men drink both inside and outside the home, women's drinking is mostly confined to the house. But it is the women who are mostly th e producers of the homemade alcohol. Police said 100,000 liters of liquor have been seized and destroyed in the past three years. At least 85 people have been arrested in the last three years for these offenses.

पत्रकारहरुसँग कुराकानी गर्दै बालिकाका पिता सांईनाथ वाडेकरले भाव्यालाई टाइफाइड भएको भएको बताए । उपचारका लागि उनलाई भवन अस्पतालमा भर्ना गरिएको थियो । स्वास्थ्यमा केही सुधार आएपछि दुई दिन पहिला बुधबार उनलाई अस्पतालले छुट्टी दिएको थियो । एक दिन बेलुका अचानक भाव्याको स्वास्थ्य अवस्था विग्रियो । त्यसपछि दोस्रो पटक जब भाव्यालाई उपचारका लागि अस्पताल लगियो ।
उपचारका लागि अस्पताल जाँदै गर्दा बाटोमा उनले आफ्ना बुवालाई भनेकी थिईन-‘बाबा यदि म यो संसारमा रहिन भने मेरा आँखा दान गरिदिनु ।’ उनले आफ्ना बाबुलाई आफ्नो यो सपना अनिवार्य पूरा गर्न आग्रह गरिन् । बावु वाडेकरले छोरीको कुरा सुनेर आँसु थाम्न सकेनन् । र छोरीलाई अंगालो हाल्दै त्यस्तो कुरा नगर भन्दै सम्झाए ।


वाडेकरका अनुसार भाव्यालाई जब अस्पतालमा लगेर उपचार थालियो तब डाक्टरले धेरै कोशिश गरे तर, उनलाई बचाउन सकिएन् । वाडेकरलाई छोरीको मृत्यु खबर डाक्टरले सुनाएपछि उनले तुरुन्त उनको आँखा कुनै अन्धो मान्छेलाई दान गर्ने फैसला गरे । भाव्याको आँखा अब दुई जना अन्धा मानिसलाई दिने तयारी अस्पतालले गरेको छ । सोमबार भाव्याका आँखा दुई जनालाई दान गर्न अप्रेशन गरिँदैछ । मरेर पनि अब भाव्याले आफ्ना आँखाबाट संसार देख्न पाउनेछिन्

In light of the ongoing court case involving the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and the Ad hoc Committee established by the Nepalese National Sports Council (NSC), which has led to a vacuum of cricket leadership in Nepal, the Board suspended the Membership of CAN for breach of Article 2.9 of the ICC’s Articles of Association, which prohibits government interference and requires free and fair elections. The suspension means that CAN will not be entitled to receive any ICC funding. However, the Board, in its absolute discretion and considering that the players should not suffer due to this suspension, decided that the Nepal cricket teams would be able to continue to feature in ICC events. ICC management will also now work with the Nepalese cricket community, and other stakeholders, in order to assist with the development of a sustainable governance and administration structure for cricket in Nepal. The Board maintained that it doesn’t accept government interference in the affairs of its Members as it wants all its Members to work independently with the best intentions of promoting and developing the game in their respective territories in accordance with the ICC’s objectives and strategy.
