Assessment is based on the assumption that each individual differs from another in
regard to the personality traits. Even if they possess the same traits their behaviour
will vary in terms of their experiences to different situations and thus a personality
assessment will make this very clear as to what actually contributes to this difference and what are typical of a particular person’s personality.



A distinctive feature of personality assessment is the scientific approach to personality measurement . That is how the human characteristics are described quantitatively and qualitatively. The assessment also throws light on how many traits are present and which of these is dominant and which one acts negatively creating problems to the adjustment of the individual.
